7-Day Sound Healing Course Rishikesh
About This Course

Listening Before Playing

Our 7-Day Sound Healing Course brings together traditional Indian wisdom of Nāda Yoga, Mantra and Meditation with the practical exploration of sound, vibration, resonance and musical awareness. Rather than simply learning how to play instruments, students are encouraged to experience sound first.

The emphasis is not on collecting instruments. It is on learning how to listen, how to use sound responsibly and how to create a coherent sound experience. The course is non-residential and integrates with Triyambakam's regular daily schedule in Rishikesh.

"Sound is not only something we create. Sound is something we experience. And through deep listening, sound can become a path toward meditation, presence and self-awareness."
7-Day Course Structure

Day by Day — From Sound to Stillness

Seven stages, each building toward a deeper relationship with sound, silence and awareness.

01
Sound & Nāda

Introduction to Sound & Nāda

The day establishes an important principle: before creating sound, learn to listen.

  • What is Sound?
  • Vibration & Frequency
  • Resonance & Harmonics
  • Rhythm & Silence
  • Introduction to Nāda Yoga
  • Āhata & Anāhata Nāda
  • Sound-Awareness Meditation
02
Singing Bowls

Singing Bowls & Himalayan Sound Tradition

Students develop the ability to hear and respond to subtle changes in sound rather than mechanically repeating techniques.

  • Background & Traditional Associations
  • Holding & Striking Technique
  • Sustained Tones
  • Rim-Playing
  • Working with Multiple Bowls
  • Basic Bowl Meditation
03
Mantra & Chakras

Mantra, Voice & Chakras

The emphasis is not simply assigning a sound to a body location, but developing awareness of vibration, breath, attention and inner experience.

  • Mantra & Bīja Mantras
  • Breath & Vocal Vibration
  • Conscious Pronunciation
  • Chakra Framework
  • LAM–VAM–RAM–YAM–HAM–OM–Silence
04
Resonance

Crystal Bowls, Tuning Forks & Resonance

Students begin to understand how different sounds can be combined to create a balanced and immersive experience.

  • Crystal Singing Bowls
  • Tuning Forks
  • Safe Handling
  • Resonance & Listening
  • Simple Sound Sequences
05

Sound Instruments & Soundscape Creation

The focus is on soundscape creation — learning when to introduce a sound, when to allow it to fade, and when silence itself becomes part of the practice.

  • Hapi/Handpan Instruments
  • Ocean Drum
  • Water & Wind Chimes
  • Shakers & Percussion
  • Shruti Box & Drone Practice
06

  • Sequencing Instruments
  • Individual & Group Practice
  • Grounding & Closing
07
Integration

Integration, Nature Sound & Final Practice

The goal is not simply to complete seven days, but to leave with a strong practical foundation and a deeper relationship with sound.

  • Nature Sound Healing
  • Mindful Listening
  • Silence as Practice
  • Dowsing — Complementary Awareness
  • Supervised Final Session
Deeper Exploration

Nature, Chakras & Conscious Observation

🍃

Nature Sound Healing

Flowing water, wind, birds, rain and natural silence invite a more attentive relationship with our surroundings. Sometimes the most meaningful part of a session is not another sound — but silence.

🕉

Sound, Chakras & Bīja Mantra

The chakra system is approached as part of the traditional yogic framework — not a replacement for medical diagnosis. We explore breath, mantra, vocal resonance, attention and meditation together.

🔮

Dowsing & Conscious Observation

Students are introduced to dowsing as a complementary awareness and observation practice — never as a scientifically established diagnostic method, and never a replacement for medical care.

What Makes Us Different

Listening Before Playing. Awareness Before Technique.

Our approach is rooted in the meeting point of Indian Music, Nāda Yoga, Mantra, Meditation and contemporary Sound Healing practice.

Listening Before Playing

Awareness Before Technique

Experience Before Explanation

Silence Along With Sound

You will not simply learn a sequence of techniques and repeat it mechanically — you will learn to listen to the quality, movement and relationship of sound, and gradually develop the sensitivity required to create a meaningful sound experience.
